Gabriola Sands Park has two sandy beaches and large manicured grassy lawns. There is a day-use area complete with picnic tables, pit toilets, a cold water hand pump (water must be boiled, filtered or treated prior to consumption), two sandy beaches, a parking lot and a playing field.

From the ferry terminal on Gabriola, turn left on Taylor Bay Road and follow until you see signs for Gabriola Sands Provincial Park, located on Decourcy Drive. The park is also accessible by boat. Boaters can reference marine chart #3458 for more information on this area.

We took #bcferries from downtown #nanaimo on a short 25 minute ferry over to #gabriolaisland
Our first stop was the Sunday market at #silvabay , followed by a relaxing walk at #brickyardbeach , where we learnt about the areas history.
Our next beautiful stop was the #eldercedarnaturereserve or traditionally known as S'ul-hween X'pey. This beautiful forest is part of the traditional territory of the Snuneymuxw First Nation, and is a very sacred place to connect with ancestors.
Then we hit the white sands of #gabriolasandsprovincialpark where we had beautiful beach views from both sides of the road.
My personal favourite part of the day, we spent sunset at the absolutely stunning #malaspinagalleries β a wave carved out of stone, this magnificent and unique place was home to the warmest waters and smoothest rocks. The unique designs, fossil and βbubbleβ features in the rocks was like no other. Iβm already aching to go back here.
