About the Park
There is a high concentration of prehistoric rock carvings at this park. The First Nations peoples created these traditional carvings over 1,000 years ago. Concrete replica castings of the petroglyphs can be found in the main interpretation area and visitors can make rubbings of the castings from these. Rubbings are a great souvenir of a visit to this intriguing and educational park.

Location
Petroglyph Provincial Park is located just south of Nanaimo. Access to the park is from a pull off on Hwy 1. Watch for signs.
