Discover the secret menu of the forest with our enthusiastic Park Naturalist. 
WIth a passion for everything outdoors, our Naturalists are professionally trained to make "a walk in the park" one of the most interesting and inspiring activities you will experience. 
Find out what you can nibble on the next time you're cruising through the forest and perhaps discover some nifty cures for common ailments. 
Tinctures, decoctions and teas are all possible when the forest pantry is open.  You won't go away with an empty stomach.

 

 

  • Tours include a native plant snack and tea.
  • Participants must dress appropriately for the weather.
  • Tour bookings are based on availability and must be made at least one week in advance

Tour locations: Various locations across Vancouver Island in a park near you.

Pricing (all prices include GST):

  • 1-4 people - $50 per person (minimum tour charge of $150)
  • 5-10 people - $40 per person
  • 11-15 people - $32 per person

Salmon Tours with Transportation are Scheduled in November each year...but we talk about salmon all year long and can do custom tours for groups at any time of the year!

Experience the annual Goldstream salmon run at its finest with transportation to and from the park and a chance to witness one of nature's phenomena with a local interpretive guide.  Don't miss out on this unique opportunity!  Discover the amazing adaptations of spawning dalmon and delve into the secrets of their salmomind success with a dynamic tour and salmon dissection.  This tour will leave you fascinated with one of our West Coast's most iconic species.

Leaves downton Victoria at 10:00am

Arrives at Goldstream 10:30am

From majestic waterfalls to an abandoned trestle, this hike will uncover the wild side of Goldstream.  Refresh with a taste of wild edibles.

After pick up downtown this hike/tour will feature the highlights of Goldstream –hike to Niagara Falls, the abandoned trestle and on to Goldstream Falls. Guest will refresh with a taste of wild tea and wild edibles.
